Mosaic

I’m a little late this evening, website issues. Tonight I want to introduce you to Mosaic. Our second song in the modern era. Mosaic was always meant to be the B-Side to Mushroom Man. One serious, one fun like Queen’s, We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. Mosaic was the longest to write, I had words and part of a melody. It took a year and a half of Tuesdays as we built it up measure by measure to the point where our test audience said we had ruined it. Then we tore it all down, created space and let the music breathe a little. If you look closely at the image in the blog you will see a xylophone in there at one point. We also had six different guitar parts, three bass parts and a kitchen sink. We were hoping to create a sonic mosaic with all of this stuff but as one reviewer said, all the space was like light shining through. I’ll take it. Give it a listen if you like.
